Barbecue

Can you please explain how you get your answer.

There is a nob on top of the tank, and you have to turn it to open it. I was told to open it all the way, and then to turn on the grill nob and light it. Then someone said just give the tank nob a little turn and go ahead and turn on the grill nob and you will save propane. Who is right and why?

I ordered meats, sides and tea. Plus they gave me the sauce napkins, forks, knives, spoons, ice, sweetener.
I’m relieved to hear the first two answers. I tipped $15. I’m in agreement with one and too generous for the other. Not bad.

I am having a barbecue, for which 150 people will be in attendance. The menu is as follows: pulled pork sandwiches, meatball and sausage sandwiches, pasta salad, potato salad, and pizza casserole. How much of each food do I need to purchase/make in order to feed all of the guests? I understand that some guests will choose not to eat one of the main entrees… but we would rather have too much food instead of not enough.

I had a barbecue last night and used up a medium bag of charcoal and mesquite chunks ( real smoky), Cooked for nearly 5 hours. Used wet mesquite to smoke the meat , Feel brain dead today and coughing ??????

I am throwing a weddingrehearsall dinner and wanted to do a western one with barbecue, chicken, beans, cole slaw, etc. Any ideas? Plus the question on the barbecue.
